After several years at AmLaw 100 firms in Atlanta and Indianapolis, Jennifer spent many years as in-house counsel at a Big Ten university and at a global medical device company. She is also a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT).

Background & Current Emphasis

Jennifer brings over 20 years of legal experience in both in-house and private practice settings. Formerly Global Compliance Counsel at Cook Medical, Jennifer has developed a broad range of expertise spanning across industries, which includes internal investigations; developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs; corporate governance; data privacy; and commercial litigation. She has led a number of cross-functional initiatives advising senior management on emerging issues while balancing legal, privacy, and regulatory concerns. Known for her collaborative approach, Jennifer works closely with company leadership to develop and implement legal strategies, deliver compliance training, navigate complex business challenges, and resolve seemingly intractable disputes.

Previously, Jennifer served as Associate General Counsel at Indiana University, where she provided legal counsel on data privacy, intellectual property, and technology transactions, as well as a wide range of other matters unique to higher education. She began her Indiana legal career at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she was a partner in business and commercial litigation. She also practiced law with a small firm in Durham, North Carolina and an AmLaw 100 firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
